French subjonctif présent
The mood of doubt, emotion, necessity, and subjectivity. Triggered by specific phrases, not chosen freely. Once you know the triggers, the conjugation is mostly mechanical.
When to use Subjonctif présent
Necessity and will
Use it after expressions requiring or wanting a different subject to act.
Il faut que tu viennes demain.
You need to come tomorrow.
Emotion
Use it after an emotional or evaluative reaction.
Je suis content que tu sois là.
I am happy that you are here.
Doubt and uncertainty
Use it after doubt, possibility, or a negated belief.
Je doute qu'il sache la vérité.
I doubt that he knows the truth.
How to form Subjonctif présent
Usually use the present ils stem for je, tu, il and ils, and the present nous stem for nous and vous, with -e, -es, -e, -ions, -iez, -ent.

Ils stem + endings
Regular. Use the present ils stem with regular subjunctive endings.
