Answer key
Practice sheets that are never the same twice
A photocopied worksheet is finite: once a class has seen it, it is spent, and next year's students inherit the answers. Every sheet on this page is generated instead of stored, so pressing Generate a new version produces a different set of questions from the same settings. You can print two non-identical papers for students sitting next to each other, or a fresh version for a retake, without writing anything twice.
Each sheet draws from the 100 most frequent French verbs, so students spend their practice on forms they will actually meet rather than on textbook filler.
Typed answers, not multiple choice
Every question asks for the full written form. There are no word banks and no options to eliminate, because recognising nous allons in a list is a different skill from producing it from nothing — and only the second one survives into speech. The answer key prints as its own section, so you can hand out the worksheet alone and keep the key for marking.
Two activity formats
Conjugation worksheet. A numbered list of pronoun + infinitive prompts with a writing line. This is the standard assignment format: quick to set, quick to mark.
Conjugation grid puzzle. Four verb-and-tense columns with some cells filled in as clues. Students complete the rest, which forces them to compare patterns across pronouns instead of answering each item in isolation. Difficulty controls how many clues are supplied.
Questions teachers ask
Are these French verb worksheets really free?
Yes. Every worksheet on this page is free to generate, print and photocopy for your class. No account, no sign-up, no watermark.
Can I save the worksheets as PDF?
Yes. Press “Print or save PDF” and choose “Save as PDF” in your browser's print dialog. The page is styled for print, so the interface controls are removed automatically.
Do the worksheets include an answer key?
Yes, and it prints as a separate section that you can leave off by unticking “Include a separate answer key” before printing.
